Rain
Somewhere
near here
this chilly
unthinking rain
patters
Spring flowers
painting a
respectful gloss.
I’m amazed
not at this
beautifully
friendly act,
but at my own
reporting:
in my grey
city the same rain
rhythms
neurosis.
My rain
breaks the interconnecting web
of sun and
luck, batters me awake,
needles me to
sleep,
sabotaging
the geometry I’ve spun.
